Skies
Friday, when we got home from being with Ryan and Amanda for Ryan’s surgery (more on this further down), the sky was too wonderful not to take pictures. Below are pictures of Friday evening’s sky.

And….

Ryan’s Surgery Update
Ryan’s surgery went well yesterday and took the surgeon a bit less than an hour to remove the growth from his foot. The surgeon told Amanda that it would now be a 7 to 10 day wait for the results of the pathology report. Please continue to pray that this growth is NOT melanoma.
Ryan was home by yesterday afternoon. He and Amanda both looked quite tired, but Ryan’s pain was minimal and we were very thankful. He had no nausea after his surgery which was another blessing.
Amanda says that Ryan is doing very well today. He was even hoping to go sailing tomorrow….but Amanda overruled that idea quickly. : ) Ryan should have his stitches removed in about a week. He is navigating on crutches currently and keeping his foot up when he isn’t moving about.
I’ll update regularly and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concern. It means a great deal to all of us.
Prayer
Today has been a day of prayers of thanks. I mowed this afternoon and always find it to be a wonderful time of prayer. I am just overwhelmed with Thanks to our Heavenly Father for my husband, our children, family and friends. Our blessings are too numerous to count!
I pray for Ryan’s pathology report to be negative for melanoma and for he and Amanda to live a long and happy life together. I pray for each of our family members to have full lives with health, happiness, and a close and growing relationship with our Heavenly Father.
I pray for each of you to be bountifully blessed, to listen to that still small voice in your heart, and to know how you are wonderfully loved by our Father above.
And for now, goodbye with a Saturday evening sky from our farm in Oklahoma (and yes, there are Purple Martins flying in this picture)…

Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills.
